In order to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, fully implement the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, at the time of "Launching investigation and research", Prof. Yuan Jianhong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Management, led the leadership of the School to go to the School of Economics and the School of Finance and Economics of the RenminUniversity of China, National School of Development, Institute of New Structural Economics, the School of Economics, and Guanghua School of Management of Peking University to conduct research and studies, studying the advanced concepts and excellent experiences of first-class institutions of higher education in talent cultivation, faculty construction, cross-disciplinary construction, and high-quality development of MBA/EMBA programs. At present, the university is in the critical stage of the implementation of "Fine Arts Enhancement Program", as an important force in the development of liberal arts in Southeast University, the School of Economics and Management has been implementing the "14th Five-Year Plan", strengthening the construction of cross-disciplines, and enhancing the development pattern of the school. At Peking University, Dong Zhiyong, Vice President of Peking University and Dean of the School of Economics, and Cui Jianhua, Secretary of the School of Economics of Peking University, introduced their experiences and practices in talent cultivation mode, enhancement of disciplinary specialties and advantages, and construction of scientific research teams, and discussed with the research group on the construction and development of economics disciplines, cross-disciplinary mechanism, and construction of national high-end think tanks, etc. Lei Xiaoyan, Secretary of Peking University's National School of Development and Yao Yang, Dean of Peking University's National School of Development, frankly exchanged views on the construction of national high-end think tanks, international cooperation, and high-quality development of MBA/EMBA, which were the concerns of the research group, and improved mutual understanding. Wang Yong, Vice Dean of Peking University's Institute of New Structural Economics introduced the integration of cross-disciplinary subjects, the enhancement of scientific research organizational strength and innovation management, and the declaration and attack of major subjects, etc. The research group had face-to-face talks and exchanges with Dean Liu Qiao and Secretary Ma Huaxiang of Guanghua School of Management of Peking University on talent cultivation mode, scientific research platform and team construction, and MBA/EMBA management experience, etc., and discussed the rules and characteristics of economic and management talent cultivation in the new era together.
After the in-depth investigation and research on the sister institutions, the research group combined their own education and teaching, scientific research, talent training and other work practices, deepened the understanding of the university's talent cultivation philosophy of "academic supremacy, students as the first priority, teachers as the foundation", improved the understanding of the School's mission and responsibilities in the new era of cultivating moral character, and further clarified the development goals, reform tasks and enhancement paths. The school will continue to innovate development ideas, enhance the pattern of school running, and contribute the power of the School in promoting the construction of the new liberal arts of the university.
