On October 29th, approved by the School Party Committee, the party members’ meeting of the Communist Party of China of the School of Economics and Management, Southeast University, was successfully held in the Jiao Tingbiao building at the Jiulonghu campus.This meeting was held at a critical period when Southeast University successfully completed the "13th Five-Year" development plan, seriously preparing for the "14th Five-Year" development plan, and promoting a new round of "Double First-Class" construction.The main task of the meeting was to summarize the main work of the current Party Committee, analyze the opportunities and challenges faced, clarify the working directions of the school in the next five years, and elect new Party Committee members.Comrade Liu Pan, member of the General Election Working Group of the school's grass-roots Party Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University, Comrade Song Xiaoyan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism, and Comrade Shi Dairong from the Organization Department of the School Party Committee attended the meeting for guidance.The first and third stages of the meeting were presided over by Comrade He Yi, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee. The meeting kicked off when all party members and comrades sang the national anthem. First of all, Comrade Yuan Jianhong, Secretary of the current School Party Committee, gave a work report entitled "Concentrating and Building a First-class School of Economics and Management".The report summarized and reviewed the major achievements made by the school in ideological construction, organizational construction, party style and clean government construction, talent team construction, and discipline construction in the past five years.Under the leadership of the SEU Party Committee, the School Party Committee adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the basic strategy of "Pioneering and Innovating, Striving for the First Place", united and led the teachers and students of the school, continued to deepen internal reforms, and steadily promoted various work and made positive contributions to the development of the school.

The report analyzed the key tasks of the school's future work: continue to study Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, continue to increase the construction of grass-roots party organizations, improve political positions, and do a solid job in ideological and political education, comprehensively strengthen party building and implement the fundamental task of cultivating virtuous students, further play the political core role of the Party Committee, and ensure the development of the school's "14th Five-Year Plan".It is hoped that under the leadership of the SEU Party Committee, the next Party Committee of our school will work closely with the Administration Department, concentrate their efforts, reform and innovate, work diligently, and jointly promote the development of the school's various undertakings to a new level.

Next, Comrade Sun Liang made a report on the collection, management, and use of fees of the School Party Committee.Afterward, Comrade He Yi read out the Election Measures (Draft) of the Party Congress. The meeting passed the Election Measures (Draft) and voted on the candidates for the Chief Scrutineer, Scrutineer, and Vote Counter, with Comrade Chen Juhua as the Chief Scrutineer.Comrade He Yi announced the result of the School Party Committee's approval of the "request for the candidates for the new committee members, Secretary and Deputy Secretary", and introduced the candidates.

Under the auspices of Comrade Chen Juhua, all the official party members at the scene cast their sacred and solemn votes. According to the Election Measures, all the Scrutineers and Counters worked conscientiously and orderly.After the statistical procedure, the meeting elected 7 comrades, namely Yin Wei, Jiang Qiwen, He Yi, Zhang Yulin, Chen Lianghua, Yuan Jianhong, and Pu Zhengning (in order of surname strokes) as members of the new Party Committee by differential voting. Comrade He Yi, Deputy Secretary of the previous Party Committee, announced the list of elected members. Finally, all the teachers and students stood up and sang the Internationale, and the agenda of the meeting ended successfully.

After the meeting, the first meeting of the new committee of the School of Economics and Management of Southeast University was held.
